the Pixalere™ Wound Management Solution continues to grow its
install base nationally, we are looking to add more functionality
through the introduction of new modules that address the needs of
other health care disciplines.

In Kenya
In 2003, a physician from British Columbia was able to use Pixalere
technology to transfer images of burn victims in Kenya to colleagues
at MSA Hospital in Abbotsford, BC. The use of Pixalere enabled
collaboration and treatment advice to be administered remotely, by
specialists in the treatment of burn wounds; Pixalere was the
vehicle for transfer of digital images and written observations from
the on-sight physician, and then the subsequent treatment
recommendations from the specialists in BC.
In Kenya, the use of Pixalere provided access to specialists where
previously there was none, improving the quality of care that was
delivered and the ability of the patient’s wounds to heal.
